I have great news for you smartphone and Twidroyd lovers! Today Twidroyd Pro has released a new update that both fills in some grey areas and innovates on new areas that continues to separate itself from the other Twitter clients.

New features in this version includes:
10-11-08 / 4.2:
- new license model: twidroyd free and PRO now share the same feature set whereas free includes ads and PRO does not. we’ll also be releasing a light-weight “twidroyd classic” later this week
- new: channels – explore the best of twitter directly in twidroyd
- new: recommended users – find interesting new folks to follow
- new: approve follower requests
- new: light menu mode
- new: mute users – hide users from your timeline for a certain time
- new: tweets around you
- new: list of retweets
- new: open user profile directly from more-menu
- fix: view profiles
- fix: tweetlist skipping
- fix: favorite synchronization
I am interested in seeing what this “mute users” feature has to offer because being able to mute or hide certain users from flooding your time line is a BIG must have for me personally. I just received this update so I need some more time with the app to report back with more details on the functionality end.

For any folks out there with the HTC Legend be happy to know that HTC is working on a official Froyo (Android 2.2) update in the coming weeks.
Now to be clear, HTC states on their Facebook page that all the non branded Legends will receive the update first. Followed of course by all carrier versions of the device. Once HTC has the update ready all the carriers have to add in their software and approve the update of course.
Owners of any type of Android smartphone should know at this point how longer the process is for the carriers to add their software to any update then send it out, so expect to wait for some time on this one.

Attention, iOS (Apple) and Angry Birds fans, According to the game’s maker Rovio, Angry Birds: Halloween should be hitting Apple’s App Store tonight at midnight your local time.
The game is exclusive to Apple’s iOS platform, with a regular version for iPhones and iPod Touches at 99 cents, and an HD version for iPads for $1.99. What should also be known is this version of Angry Birds is not an add-on but instead a stand alone game that will have 45 levels, new elements, graphics, and sounds.
This is a real bummer for us Android lovers out there but all we can do is hope that Rovio (maker of Angry Birds) releases a version for Android hopefully before Halloween. Hey, we can be optimistic right?

A little after 7 PM yesterday, I received a well anticipated but well overdue (which is an attitude expressed by most T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant owners) OTA update that is suppose to take care of two glaring issues.
- Solve the GPS problem
- Improve the lagging of the Android OS do to Samsung’s Touchwiz 3.0
Long behold the GPS issue along with the lag has both finally been solved. Instead of 10-20 seconds of searching it’s more like 2-5, I tried mine last night after the update and that GPS locked in at light year speed!
Although, the GPS problem has been solved along with the hereditary lagging issue (the lagging honestly annoyed me more than the GPS problem) this still leaves the anticipation of the REAL update all of us Galaxy users are waiting for and that’s our serving of frozen yogurt in Google Froyo 2.2.

Here’s my overall break down of what I’ve noticed with this update so far, both positives and negatives:
Positives
- HD Camcorder icon
- Task Manager icon
- Video Player icon
- Full access to Media Hub (Yay! I can buy movies now)
- Battery status shows up in notification bar
- Screen lock doesn’t slide as easy when unlocking the screen
- * No more lag *
- GPS fixed
Negatives
- No Froyo 2.2
Did you get your update Vibrant owners? If you have received this update tell me your experiences and tell me what (if anything) I may have missed.
