Rovio has infected the smartphone world with an incurable addiction to their incredibly popular Angry Birds game for Android and iPhone. How best to treat an addiction? Release teasers to keep your following drooling for more, and that is just what Roviio’s CEO has done with mention on Angry Birds 2. This won’t be just another set of new levels, no, no, this is going to be from the enemy pig point of view! Have such a fierce allegiance to the Angry Birds that you could not foresee switching to the dark side? You may change your tune when the game hits the market in the near future. If history is any predictor, this sequel will draw you in and proceed to remove all other worries in your world. Nothing else will matter.
On to the second, possibly more interesting news, MULTIPLAYER! Soon you and your friends will be able to share your addictions, battling the evil pigs (or birds…) together! There is less information about this version of Angry Birds as the development team is still analyzing the best way to bring the multiplayer experience to everyone’s favorite game. Rest assured it is in the works!
These new versions should keep your addictions going strong for up until they release Angry Birds 3 – Birds on Patrol (insert other threequel reference here…).

Well, the rumor that is now flying around the internet is that Apple is set to announce that they’ve just scored the rights to the entire Beatles catalog and will be offering it up on iTunes.
The Wall Street Journal just announced this evening that Apple has been in talks with representatives of the Beatles and their record label, EMI Group Ltd to bring the entire catalog to iTunes. This is great news for folks wanting to load up their iPods or iPhones with some great material.
Only time will tell, will this be the big announcement that Apple is alluding to regarding iTunes? Or do they also have a few other things up their sleeves? Stay tuned….
For now…. let’s file this under R for rumor….and Ringo.

Cobra announced today that their popular iRadar app that is currently available for iPhone users will be available for Android users in early 2011. That’s right, you’ll now be able to race down the street at high rates of speed (definitely NOT recommended by us here at TSR!) knowing that you’ve got the protection of Cobra on your dashboard!
“We are very excited to make the Cobra iRadar system available to Android users, who now represent over one-third of the smartphone market,” said Sally Washlow, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Cobra Electronics. As Ms. Washlow pointed out, between the two operating systems Cobra iRadar will be accessible to a significant majority of U.S. smartphone users.
What do you think? Is this something that you’d be interested in? Or something that you really don’t need in your life? Let us know in the comments below!

Whoa, wait…..how did this one sneak by without fanfare? That’s right, the beloved Twitter app for BlackBerry devices, UberTwitter, is now available for iPhone users! Just released on November 11th, you can pick up this great app in the Apple App Store for just…oh wait…. it’s FREE! That’s right, this one is free. So head on over there RIGHT NOW and pick it up!
In addition to traditional Twitter client features – such as composing and sending tweets, retweeting, direct messaging and embedded link shortening – ŰberTwitter for iPhone offers an important new feature called ŰberView that make reading tweets faster and easier. Either by tapping the tweet in portrait mode or turning the phone to landscape mode, users will be able to view and use content from any embedded link (e.g., webpage, photo or video) instantaneously without leaving the app or opening a new page within an app.
ŰberTwitter will continue to encourage its users to share their suggestions for new features as it did with its original Blackberry offering. Within the app, there is a button where users can submit their ideas, and the feedback will be used to prioritize development efforts.
Thanks to our very own TSR writer, Shanice for the heads up on this. Anyone pick UT up for the iPhone yet? If so, what do you think? Does it hold a candle to the original BlackBerry version, or does it have some shortcomings?
I’m going to give this a test run myself and see what it’s all about!

Path, a photo sharing app on the iTunes App Store, has made its way to the masses. What is Path you may ask? Very good question and below is the answer.
Path is the personal network. A place to be yourself and share life with close friends and family. The personal network doesn’t replace your existing social networks – it augments them.
Path allows you to capture your life’s most personal moments and share them with the 50 close friends and family in your life who matter most.
Because your personal network is limited to your 50 closest friends and family, you can always trust that you can post any moment, no matter how personal. Path is a place where you can be yourself.

The app allows you to snap a pic with your iPhone or iPod Touch 4th Generation and add tags around the pic to include people, places and whatever you fancy. You can share the pics with up to 50 people in your network. The people at Path feel 50 is an adequate figure for the closest group of friends you may have.
Once you capture a pic with Path you can see in real-time which of your friends in your network sees the pic at that same moment. You can read much more about Path at the company blog here. I find it interesting that friends can’t even comment on the pic you submit to your Path, but I hope that issue is resolved in future releases.
You can grab Path in the iTunes App Store here. You can also sign-up on the Path website here if you do not have an iPhone or iPod Touch 4th Gen.

Before switching to my iPhone 4 a couple months ago, I was a long time BlackBerry user. I briefly switched to Android, but returned to BlackBerry in a matter of months. Why? I missed BBMing. Now that many people are switching to Android and iPhone from BlackBerry there are a number of cross platform applications that try to imitate that beautiful BBM experience. Today we will be looking at the two most used: PingChat! and Kik Messenger. They are both available on BlackBerry, iOS and Android. Note: This is from an iOS point of view. Feel free to shoot off in the comments on how these apps work for your platform.

If you are in an area that recognizes Daylight Savings this weekend, and you’re an iPhone or iPod Touch user, you just may have an issue with your alarm clock going off at the wrong time Monday morning!
WHAT?! How can this be? There is a bug in the software that does not recognize the time change and your alarm will not go off at the correct time. You will end up being late for work, school, appointments, etc.
Want to avoid this? Let’s break it down on how you can easily fix this before Monday morning:
If you’re in the United States and want to create an iPhone alarm that will work Monday, follow these steps:
1. Open the Clock application.
2. Click on the Alarm icon at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click the “plus sign” icon in the top right corner.
4. Create an alarm and make sure you have the “repeat” option set to “never.” (The glitch only occurs with repeat alarms, such as those workers set to wake them up at the same time each weekday).
5. Select the appropriate time and sound, and click “save.”
6. After November 7, you can again create repeat alarms without trouble, but you should delete any recurring alarms that you set before that date, Harrison said.
Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison suggests that users should set NON-recurring alarms for now. After November 7th, the problem should be null and void and you can return to setting recurring alarms.
Word on the street is that a fix is coming for this, to avoid this issue in the future, but no word yet on when that will be.
